Project Title : Designing and fabricating an omniwing aircraft for surveillance

Mentor : Ramesh Kumar (Assistant Professor)

Description : The main motive of pursuing this project is to study and understand the effect of regression rate on thrust in a hybrid motor, two different fuels are taken into account at various chamber pressures and difference in thrust is calculated in order to study the difference caused by regression rates and isp of fuels. SOLIDWORKS along with MATLAB used to design an optimized conical convergent - divergent nozzle, further advanced excel tools were used to formulate the data. ANSYS and PATRAN were used to do the required simulations.

TEAM LEADER (INDIAN ROVER CHALLENGE - TEAM VIKALAP)

Description : Indian Rover Challenge is a competition organised by Mars Society of South Asia in which the team was supposed to design a rover capable of climbing rough terrains, do autonomous task, pick up things with robotic arm, perform various chemical tests for estimation of possible life that could exist on the testing site. TEAMWORK and MANAGEMENT were the most important learnings in this project along with other technical and MANUFACTURING skills.

TEAM LEAD (NACDeC - III) (HIGH ALTITUDE LONG ENDURANCE PLATFORM DESIGN)

Organization : UPES, Dehradun, India Duration: Oct’19 – Jan’20

Description : NACDeC- III is a conceptual design challenge organized by IIT BOMBAY, this year we were supposed to be a high-altitude long endurance platform which should be able to hover over 4 given cities at an altitude of 15 to 20 KM for a duration of 3 months and travel in between the cities in a given time of 5 days.

My work revolves around the design and optimization of the aerospike nozzle to meet the desired performance parameters.
