Industrial Internship of 10 months at GE Healthcare, Bangalore (August 2019 – May 2020) Algorithm that automatically registers PET/CT cardiac images for attenuation correction is implemented in MATLAB. Particle-Swarm-Optimization technique is used to optimize the similarity measure or the mutual information.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Face and Body posture Features Extraction for Border Surveillance Algorithm for detecting and recognizing faces in real time using OpenCV and deep learning techniques are implemented. CNN and HOG face detector networks are used for the detection.

Detection of Leukemia in the Blood Samples using Image Processing Techniques Algorithm for detecting leukemia in the blood samples image is developed using MATLAB. The algorithm detects and gives the amount of affected cells as percentage value.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome monitoring system

A method which monitors the breathing rate of infants to identify signs of SIDS is proposed. The video of the infant which focuses the thoraco-abdominal region is processed using MATLAB to find out the abnormalities.

Solar Powered Seed Sowing Robot - ‘SowBot’

Designed and implemented a low cost agricultural robotic vehicle for ploughing, sowing and leveling the ground. The bot was powered using solar energy.

Smart Gloves for Speech Challenged Persons

Developed an electronic device incorporated on a gloves that translates sign language into speech, thus reducing the communication barrier between speech challenged people and normal community.
