Purchasing/Planning Manager – Manage a team of seven direct reports responsible for the planning and procurement of $80M in annual global spend. Optimize supply chain performance by introducing initiatives designed to leverage commodity spend and increase supplier flexibility. Consistently drive material cost reductions and improve bottom line profitability.

Combine excellent negotiating and analytical skills with extensive supply chain experience to generate 3% in YOY material productivity and improve Customer OTD from 82.2% to 96.2% by establishing finished good stocking levels.

Designed and implemented an interactive supplier portal capable of broadcasting forecast, accepting supplier order commitment and shipment conformation.

Lead the development of Commodity Strategies for semi hermetic motors, castings and machining.

Purchasing Manager (August 2010 – April 2016) - Managed a team of seven subcontract managers responsible for the global procurement of complex subassemblies & systems totaling $250M in annual spend.

Accountable for supplier relationships within the team’s assigned commodities and owner for the Subcontract Management Process, the key process for managing procurement and delivery of complex engineered to order components.

Consistently exceeded assigned annual cost targets generating $20M in savings since 2010 and oversaw the creation of commodity strategies for Acoustics/Air Filter housing and Fire & Gas Systems used on the Trent & RB211 packages.

Supported the development and execution of supply chains in Brazil and China to support Rolls-Royce manufacturing facilities in those countries.

Global Commodity Manager (Dec. 2009 – Aug. 2010) - Implemented the Rolls-Royce gated process for creating commodity strategies within the energy business and developed commodity strategies for Generators & Controls systems resulting in savings of more than $15M.

Established quarterly strategic reviews with key suppliers, including senior management from Rolls-Royce and the supplier, and focusing on the suppliers QCD performance, technology/product roadmap and market overview.

Greenlee/Textron, Rockford, IL Aug. 2006 to Nov. 2009

Global Sourcing Manager - Supply Chain representative on the Instrumentation Value Stream Management Team, managing all supply chain activities required to support $35M of direct spend to support the production of test equipment for the electrical, fiber and telco industries.

Greenlee Subject Matter Expert for all Textron supplier risk mitigation and supplier contingency planning initiatives.

Supported NPI activities and product development activities for the global sourcing group including the successful launch of test products for the telco and retail channels.

Managed $20M in low cost country spend; identified and developed hand tool and test and measurement suppliers in China and Taiwan.

National Gypsum Company, Charlotte, NC Nov. 2002 to July 2006

Corporate Purchasing Manager – Procured $10 million of capital equipment and related projects annually; spend included heavy mobile equipment, forklifts and various PP&E projects.

Generated $500K in documented savings against the 2005 capital budget, managed National Gypsum’s fleet of heavy mobile equipment and forklifts valued at $75M and initiated a bulldozer “right sizing” program that lead to a $500K reduction in 2004’s mobile equipment budget.

Designed an interactive analysis tool capable of forecasting the economic replacement point for each piece of mobile equipment in National Gypsum’s fleet; program is credited with savings of $750K since its implementation in 2004.

Assisted in the development of a spend management program for National Gypsum’s corporate purchasing group and created a tracking tool to manage all leased assets across 35 manufacturing facilities.

Teltronics, Inc., Sarasota, FL - Project Buyer (2 years) - Member of 7-person product development team tasked with the design of the Mentis computer. Sourced and contracted with 35 suppliers to guarantee parts availability and delivery. Implemented strategic stocking agreements to reduce/minimize inventory costs, increasing inventory turns by 45%.
