I am the owner and operator of Linkin Medical Staffing in Lubbock Texas. The company staffs health care facilities with nurse practitioners, nurses, and nurse aids on an as needed basis. We currently staff large hospitals in Lubbock as well as rural facilities in the surrounding region.
12/2016-12/2017 TTUHSC Nurse Practitioner
I served as the Nurse Practitioner for two orthopaedic surgeons specializing in hand and arm surgery which includes carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, pronator syndrome, tendon injuries, as well as hand and arm trauma. I assessed and diagnosed patients in the clinic and provided care for them post-operatively as well as all follow ups.

8/2011-10/2012 Texas Specialty Hospital RN/charge nurse
During my time at Texas Specialty Hospital I began as a floor nurse where I managed the care of 5 to 8 patients in a long term care specialty. I cared for patients dealing with wounds to patients needing dialysis and care of their catheter sites. I also worked in the ICU with vent patients and patients on drips of many kinds. I was then placed in the position of night charge nurse where I manage the entire facility on nights which included 12 to 15 co-workers and up to 35 patients.
1/2008-8/2014 Advantage Medical Staffing RN/Charge nurse
During my time with Advantage Medical Staffing I worked as an agency nurse for many different facilities. I worked mostly as a long term care nurse at Covenant Specialty Hospital in their ICU. In this facility the ICU consisted of patients on ventilators and blood pressure drips to patients that were post major surgery and required a close watch during their rehabilitation process. I also work at the Montford Prison where my duties include being the charge nurse for the Long Term Care facility and the RMF Ward. I am usually in charge of 7 to 10 staff and between 40 to 60 inmates/patients and their total care.

I worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit while at UMC. My responsibilities included receiving patients immediately post-surgery, helping to wake them from their anesthesia in a calm, comfortable manner. I administered pain medications and ensured they were stable before being transported to their personal room to fully recover.

My first nursing experience came during my time at Covenant Medical Center. I worked as an LVN floor nurse on a cardiac telemetry floor where we cared for patients post cardiac surgery which included stent placements, coronary artery bypass grafting, and all other cardiac and thoracic surgeries. The floor was also capable of handling the care of many other medical surgical patients. While working here I was taught the basics of nursing which included bed side manner and the ins and outs of nursing fundamentals.
8/1997-1/2002 United States Army Communications
My first job directly after high school is where I started my life as a professional soldier. I was a 31Romeo, which is a communication specialist. My job duties included installing and maintaining communication equipment in the field using Line of sight communications. During my time in the military, I lived abroad in Germany for 4 years and volunteered for deployed to Bosnia for a six month peace mission where I maintained the communications equipment for the 5th signal brigade. After the mission was complete, I was one of the members chosen to stay in Bosnia and break down the equipment and ensure it all safely returned to the 5th signal brigade in Germany. It was during my time in the military that I found out that I was a born leader and what I am capable of accomplishing.
