CAD Design Engineer May 2016 – May 2020

Hendrickson International, Inc., Lebanon, KY

Responsible for design and modification of heavy duty truck suspension components and fixtures using Siemens NX 11, Teamcenter 11, and Siemens Solid Edge ST8.

Mechanical Design Engineer January 1997 - May 2016

Lexmark International, Inc., Lexington, KY

Designed and developed a broad range of mechanisms (plastic and sheetmetal) associated with electrophotographic engines using Siemens NX 9, Teamcenter 9, and Enovia.

Designed complex EP drive gear train assemblies, cover parts and structural frame parts.

Worked on the design and modeling of injection molded and stamped printer parts using UGS NX I-Deas (Master Series13m2).

Gained vast experience (12+years) using Master Modeler and its various functions; modeled complicated parts as well as worked with various complex surfaces utilizing draft and fillets for ease of moldability.

Collaborated daily with engineers on design concepts and changes, testing prototype parts on test machines, creating drafting sheets using Master Drafting (also experienced in Drafting-Detailing), and performing tolerance analysis.

Collaborated with FEA group and tooling vendors for manufacturing issues.

Participated in the Lexmark Design Apprentice Program: Learned design standards, GD&T, designing for manufacturability, and received extensive training on SDRC I-DEAS Master Series.
