Detecting Stages of Depression Using AI (Published IEEE link)

• Performed classification on EEG signals (of the DEAP dataset) using a multi-class SVM & custom Keras based Deep Neural Networks (DNN) where the highest accuracy of 98.05% was observed with the aim of locating pervasive & universally similar characteristics that define emotions. Optical Character Recognition for Handwritten Forms with Dynamic Layout (Published IEEE link)

• Adopted a novel localized zonal method of processing tagged form field types (numeric/ alphanumeric). Made use of 2 custom CNNs (built on Keras – numeric & alphanumeric) that performed recognition with accuracies of 97.2% & 76.8% using the EMNIST balanced dataset. Stood first & won a cash prize of INR 100,000 for presenting a solution during Mastek’s Deep Blue Season 3 Hackathon.

Autonomous Attendance Management System Using Facial Recognition.

• Developed a novel face recognition software that could identify multiple skewed faces in an image. Made use of dlib, a deep neural network (built on Keras) & a linear SVM that gave an accuracy of 85% on a custom dataset of 31 people (656 images). Presented this solution as a part of the RaEng (Royal Academy of Engineering, UK) - MPSTME Tech Challenge, that took place on 15th of January 2018 - stood 1st and won a cash prize of INR 100,000. Co-founder Project Zeen (2016-2017) under Enactus - a community of students, academic & business professionals that transform lives through entrepreneurial action.

• Project focuses on helping farmers of drought struck regions of Maharashtra by forming a channel between urban dwellers, farmers & government officials. Spearheaded the creation of a secondary revenue system for farmers by formulating inexpensive technological solutions (Bioplastics, Atmospheric Water Generator) thereby improving lifestyle conditions & reducing premature mortality rates.

• Currently running as a pilot in Palghar District, Maharashtra, India. Asia Pacific Broadcasting Unit (ABU) – Robocon (2015-2017) – Simulations & Mathematical Modelling Dept Head (2016-17)
