HyTech Racing, Atlanta, US. Head of the Aerodynamics Department. September 2018 – Present (~20h per week) All-electric FSAE team competing in FSAE California. Record-breaking winners of the Formula Hybrid 2019 competition.
• Frequently perform FEA and CFD simulations using ANSYS to validate front wing and rear wing designs in terms of the robustness and aerodynamic efficiency, with the goal of maximising downforce while minimising the induced drag.
• Use multiple different CAD programs on a daily basis to adjust the design of the aerodynamic package, going through numerous iterations to ensure the most efficient design is chosen, using topology optimisation to minimise the weight of each component.
• Machine a multitude of parts for the car, using manual lathes, mills, waterjets, 3D printers, laser cutters, bandsaws, and power tools.
• Carry out cost analyses so the team can stay within its budget while designing the fastest race car possible.
• Contact various companies to arrange sponsorships, set up training events and order materials to ease the manufacturing process. Skills and Awards

USLI Rocket Club. Joined in Spring 2019 and worked on the airframe team in the Georgia Tech USLI Rocket Club, which takes part in a nation-wide, NASA-run competition annually. Built and fitted the rover housing to the nose cone and the booster, as well as the avionics bay, using the skills I learned at HyTech Racing. This year I am part of the payloads team, where we design a UAV that must fit inside the rocket and must be able to fly to a specific destination and collect a soil sample, bringing it back to the rocket. Spring 2020. Team project in which we design and manufacture a robot from scratch to compete against other teams’ robots at the end of the semester, as well as writing technical reports and delivering technical presentations. The robot must complete a specific set of tasks to earn points, as well as meet strict constraints to be eligible. I am the team lead, ensuring we stay on top of the project, and I am responsible for delivering presentations about our progress to professors and judges. In the preliminary competition our team placed 1st in the section, and 5th overall out of 50.
