Having spent a significant years at Kolkata I was engaged with organizing/implementing the MPLS VPN connectivity, firewall, VSAT connectivity, at various offices and the remote locations of the mines. Engaged in DR for SAP servers, new servers, upgradations from SAP ECC 5 to ECC 6 and also migration from Lotus notes to Microsoft.
A need for security arose at the mine sites and hence the implementation of video surveillance at mine sites with centralized monitoring established. Introduced and implemented systems such as Helpdesk management, Asset management system for easy tracking and resolution of tickets raised by 3000+ employees. Implemented Synergy e-HR system for the Group resulting in complete transparency in HR i.e. from joining of new employee until the departure from employment. Various projects were successfully completed such as visitor management system, attendance system, purchase order system validation and release strategy. Inventory management and MM module training for end users, introduced. Transportation process for logistics through IT. Document digitization resulted in easy tracking of important documents with maximum security. Biometric attendance machines and automating it with E-HR portal. This resulted in removing all duplicate employee ID records and resulted in cost saving for the organization. Reduction in cost by 50% on emailing expenses achieved by implementing GOOGLE APPS for the entire group (Migration from Microsoft Office365 to Google APPS).
