Worked as Quality control inspector in Quality control engineering department in Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam.

Responsibilities

Alignment of Propulsion shafting comprising of Propeller, Propeller shaft, Intermediate shafts, Reduction gearbox, Marine engines, Alternator, Fire pump, Stub shaft etc.

Measurement of the shaft especially in case of straight Propulsion system as well as checking radial & axial clearance of bearings, vibration measurement.

Thoroughly involve in sea trial such as Endurance trial, Speed trial, vibration measurement, Maneuvering trial, Anchor handling trial, Compass trial, and Bollard pull trial as well as checking the performance of various machineries.

Inspection of compressors, overhauling of compressors, safety capacity and performance trials of compressors.

Initial inspection of the snort mast tube ( Here we are measuring the OVALITY & RUNOUTS ) in the snort mast tube, snort mast guide rod, snort mast cylinder

Intermediate inspection of the snort mast tube, snort mast guide rod, snort mast cylinder.

Final inspection of the snort mast tube, snort mast guide rod, snort mast cylinder.

Inspection of the FUEL TRANSFER PUMP (speed 1000 rpm & flow 390 LPM).

Inspection of the fresh water pump while assembling.
