Current status and experience details:
Presently I am working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Dar Al Riyadh Engineering and Architectural Consultant, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and handling the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Iconic Projects in different size of mixed use high rise buildings, M/S. Public Investment Company. Ongoing Projects undertaken by myself during the Period Sep 2011 – till date.
Job Profiles for post contract services:
Design review and Supervision of HVAC, Plumbing (Drainage, Water supply & Firefighting) Systems, Water storage facility, Laundry and kitchen Equipment..
Coordinate with the local utility agencies such as civil defense, water authority and local municipality for drainage system.
Supervision of Construction project quality control and monitoring of construction activities
Monitor the construction program closely and recommend any remedial actions to the project Manager in the event of any delay.
Selection of HVAC, Water Supply, Sewer, Surface water drainage & Fire Fighting Equipment’s.
Checking Contractor’s shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs and any other Tech. queries based on the Project requirement.
Prescribe setting out information to the contractors, check setting out, instruct corrections where necessary and receive setting out records.
Co-ordination with specialist consultants for Concept Architecture, Infrastructure consultants, Façade, Laundry, Kitchens, Interior design, Structure designer, elevator consultants, Fire Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Value Engineering specialists, Project management teams, clients and local authorities representatives.
Supervise the work on site, examine the plant materials and workmanship employed, receive the supplier / contractor’s notices of work being ready for inspection or tests to be carried out and attend as soon as possible.
Certify work completed and payment due so as to ensure that the provisions of the construction contract are met in full and in particular to exclude any unsatisfactory or incomplete work or deliveries.
Attend all site management, progress, construction coordination and quality and safety meetings as and when requested by the project manager
Involvement to issue the taking over certificate in collaboration with the project manager and cost consultant to the contractors.
Regular visits to project site to ensure quality of works is in compliance with contract requirements, good construction practice only approval material are used, compliance with shop drawings and reports any deviations to project manager.
Implement overall project operation and maintenance strategy that will ensure a seamless hand over from contractor to operation at taking over the project

Review and coordination of mechanical engineering design submittals from contractors, as well as following up site supervision, design conflicts and variation orders.
Review technical submissions and design layouts as well as material submittals from contractors
Having a knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical building services both technical and contractual.
Ability to review building services documentation throughout the project requirement and contribute to content and direction.
Review design calculations for HVAC system including Heat Load, Chiller capacity, Pressure drop calculations for chilled water system, Duct design calculations, External static pressure calculations, Exhaust system calculations, Fresh air calculations, Stair case pressurization calculations, Smoke exhaust system calculations etc. using ASHRAE standards and latest available software.
Supervision and execution of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting works, irrigation and water features and Building Management system for commercial and residential building, tall tower and mixed use development.
Review Hydraulic calculations, pump sizing & system pipe sizing for Domestic water system, hot water system, central filtration system, Firefighting pumps & tank capacity for Fire sprinkler system, Firefighting dry and wet hydrant systems and drainage system.
Review method statements for Installations and testing and commissioning for HVAC, smoke management system, Plumbing, Firefighting & Conveying System and monitor implementation of ITP.
Capable of HVAC system comparison and life cycle analysis to select the proper system
Pre -testing and commissioning of M.E.P works.
Technical discussion, meeting with contractors and respective service authorities. Complete correspondence of contractual letters and monitoring progress.
Design check – up, contract control and supervision of projects from conception to final handing over.
Directing and co -coordinating the administration of construction changes, approval of progress claim and involvement with project management / client for getting the approval.
Study design drawings and review shop drawings with proper coordination, compliance to specs / Authorities regulations.
Having hands on experience to propose value-engineering option such as cost savings method.
Liaise with authorities for No Objection certificate for water and drainage system.
Liaise for authority to obtain the NOC for district cooling system for confirming the ETS room location, size and chilled water schematic diagram. Closely interact with utility service provider and ensure the compliance with design and quality requirements.
Involvement of civil defense approval for confirming design adherence of fire zones, smoke extract scheme, stair well pressurization scheme and Fire Fighting system requirement with civil defense regulation.

Review As-Built drawings and O&M Manuals and make sure that all site conditions are properly addressed.

Having a sound knowledge for giving the approval of third Party pre- qualification documents.
Implementing the project quality plan and quality procedures and productivity related to all MEP works submittals in accordance with program of work on the project.
Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
Attend critical inspection in Factory premises for major Equipment.
Supervising / Monitoring of interfacing of mechanical equipment with electrical
controls systems for normal operation and emergency operation during fire or other
