DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC PLANNING Global Response Management FL 2019 – Present Global Response Management is a veteran-led medical non-profit providing emergency care and humanitarian aid in high-risk, low-resource areas.
• Identify potential areas of impact in crisis zones around the world. Develop, plan, and manage medical response to these areas.
• Oversee official communications and messaging of organization, working with media outlets, donors, and strategic partners.
• Clinical fieldwork as NP in Matamoros, Mexico asylum camp - assess, diagnose, and treat patients in medical field clinics suffering from acute injury, malnutrition, communicable disease, COVID, and other ailments.
ACUTE CARE NP POST MASTERS UM/NCH FL 2019 – present In tangent with both the Family Practice and Acute Care programs at the University of Miami and Naples Community Hospital Emergency Department, completion of over 1,200 clinical hours in the Emergency Room, Pediatric Emergency Room, Urgent Care, and Critical Care Department.
• Assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients presenting to the Emergency Room for various levels of criticality under the supervision of attending physician.
• Placement of central lines, arterial lines, rapid sequence intubation, cleansing and suturing of wounds, specialty consultation, dislocation reduction, moderate sedation, and pharmacological management of critically ill patients.
EMERGENCY ROOM RN Naples Community Hospital FL 2017 – present The ER at NCH’s downtown campus is the busiest in the county. The census ranges from 150- 200 patients per day, and many patients are aged 80-100. NCH houses the county’s primary stroke center, interventional radiology suites, and cath lab. With a patient to nurse ratio of 4:1, the pace is quick and requires solid critical thinking skills.
• Provided direct nursing care to emergent and non-emergent patients, including door to cath lab times under 12 minutes for MI patients, door to TPA times of under 28 minutes for stroke patients, and stabilization of trauma patients before transport to trauma center.
• Collaborated with ED Management to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions to improve patient care and staff morale.
PARAMEDIC/ED TECH Naples Community Hospital FL 2015 – 2017 Working in the ED as a Paramedic Technician, duties included IV access, phlebotomy, EKG, splinting, wound care, BLS resuscitation.
