Performs basic IV, central line, and phlebotomy skills.

Cares for patients on Pitocin, MgSO4, and continuous lumbar epidural.
Ensures patient is in proper position for delivery and all monitoring equipment is functioning properly.
Scrub and circulate for C-Section, D&C, tubal ligation, and other surgical procedures by aiding doctors with drapes, gloves, gowns; handing doctors delivery instruments as needed during birthing process.
Immediate care of newborn (clean, weigh, obtaining Apgar scores, etc.)
