Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Chief Information Officer (2018-current)
• Currently serve as Chief Information Officer with direct responsibility for 250 IT employees. Provide operational support for 18,000 CUIMC users within the 2,036-bed academic medical center campus, with budget responsibilities of $45 million.
• Led the creation and implementation of CUIMC’s new digital transformation strategy, focused on solutions for engagement through personalization, simplicity of access to data, and partnerships with leading digital vendors.
• Completed the design and implementation of Epic for the 6000 users of the ColumbiaDoctors Faculty Practice Organization (FPO), which went live on January 30, 2020.
• Implemented a new Telehealth platform with Epic and Zoom integration, with support for language translation and voice-to-text capabilities, to support CUIMC’s diverse patient population during the COVID-19 pandemic. Shifted CUIMC to 2,000 telehealth visits a day as of July, 2020.
• Deployed initial cloud management and deployment services based on Amazon Web Services (AwS) and Google Cloud for storage and compute, targeted for CUIMC researchers and clinicians. Developed a cloud solution strategy for initial 22 department rollout in the fall of 2020.
• Developed initial roadmap and solution implementation plan for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot to drive new clinical trial and patient engagement solutions.
• Built a new IT operations and governance model focused on centralization of existing IT infrastructure and staff to contain costs and improve the delivery of digital services.
• Enhanced ServiceNow to develop a new IT self-service catalog with implementation of Orchestration for automated workflow improvements

o Managed initial design and deployment of Vangent health interoperability solution portfolio for state and commercial health information exchanges o Led the development of the Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) and HHS Solution Architecture Methodology that aligned HHS IT solution development efforts with HHS Enterprise Architecture (EA), HHS Strategic Planning and HHS Capital Planning processes.
