WORK EXPERIENCE

Data Analyst Intern – FreightBro July 2020- Present

• Conducted analyses on the data obtained pertaining to the portal usage (captured via Mixpanel Analytics platform) and derived insights as to how customer activity in the platform can be retained throughout the entire shipment booking process.

• Worked in the rate card management team and was responsible for ensuring that the rates obtained from numerous freight forwarders are properly entered and uploaded in the portal using Excel.

• Worked on the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) of various documents and streamlined the content in such a way that a newcomer can understand how to process each of the different rate cards.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS AND PUBLICATIONS

Investigation of toolpath parameters during slot milling on AISI D3 Steel Dec 2019- May 2020

• The slot milling operations on AISI D3 Steel were carried out on 4 different toolpaths- namely trochoidal, quasi- trochoidal, zig and zig-zag type toolpaths.

• The values of surface roughnesses (Ra, Rz, Rq), skewness, kurtosis, cutting forces (Fx, Fy, Fz), specific cutting energy, cycle time, tool nose radius deviation, chip morphology were all obtained.

• Data Analysis and scientific study were done with these values. Histograms and bar graphs were plotted to determine the most effective toolpath (Zig-Zag) out of the 4 depending on the industry requirements.

Optimization of Process Parameters during Slot Milling on Magnesium Alloy- AZ31 using Artificial Neural Networks July 2019- Nov 2019

• Face Milling of AZ31 Magnesium alloy was carried out and successfully optimized for surface roughness and tool nose radius deviation.

• ANN was used to develop a predictive model and genetic algorithm was used to optimize the input parameters, which were namely cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. Most influencing input parameter was also found via ANN.

Physical and Metallurgical Behaviour of Aluminium Hybrid Composites Jan 2019- May 2019

• Prepared 4 samples of aluminium hybrid composites consisting of aluminium, flyash and, graphene with varying compositions of aluminium and graphene in each sample using the powder metallurgy technique.

• Microstructure analysis, SEM analysis, XRD analysis and hardness tests were carried out on samples. The sample with the highest strength was identified.

The effect of Magnesium Addition in microhardness and thermal conductivity of Aluminium Alloy

– Journal of Advanced Research in Dynamical and Control Systems, issue 18, PP 1937-1944, 2017 Sept 2017

• 4 different samples of aluminium and magnesium of varying compositions were created by casting technique.

• Microhardness test was done to determine the hardness of the specimen. Microstructure analysis was performed on the 4 specimens. Temperature distribution test was carried to find out the thermal conductivity of each sample.

• Al+ 10 percent Mg was found to have the maximum hardness and thermal conductivity.

INDUSTRIAL TRAININGS

NTPC Tamilnadu Energy Company Limited, Vallur - Internship June 2018
