Name of the Project: Maintenance of Permanent Way in SSE/PWAY/AB section.
Year: 2016 – Present
Client: Southern Railways, Govt. of India
Location: Ambur (Tamil Nadu, India)
Main Project features : Governement of India Project for maintenance of permanent way in order to allow trains movement in a safer and punctual manner.
Activities Performed:
•Maintenance of permanent way for a stretch of 48 kms including a steel girder bridge consisting of 400 plus steel channel sleepers.
•Management of 150 plus track maintainers, supervision of work and resource allotment.
•Track maintenance by various track machines such as BCM, CSM, DUOMAT, DTS, PQRS, T-28 etc.
•Interact with private sector stakeholders to understand issues in the business environment and the support needed from the government.
•Identifying and understanding the various bottlenecks in the projects involved.
•Performed regular inspections to maintain the track structure.
•Prepare and review geometric details of track alignments including horizontal and vertical curve data.
•Interacting with suppliers for achieving cost effective purchases of equipment, accessories and materials with timely delivery so as to minimize project cost.
•Conceptualizing detailed project execution plans after thorough discussion with stakeholders.
•Prepare technical reports and documentation of activities for various projects.
