Dear Hiring Authority,
My background and experience is in the specialty chemical industry focusing primarily on refinery applications for fuel additives and H2S abatement for flare gas systems. This includes application techniques, analysis, performance testing, technical recommendations and writing, troubleshooting, identifying new product opportunities, and problem-solving. I have worked independently in visiting many refineries and have a logical approach to problem solving through having the knowledge to ask very precise, relevant questions focused on the specific issue as well as the broader system impacts. Through fuel additives chemical audits and supporting safe HSE practices, I have performed problem diagnostics and troubleshooting in many refineries. I have limited knowledge of refinery process units such as crude unit, FCCU, Coking, and hydrotreating. I’m also familiar with chemical treatment programs for emulsion breaking, fouling control, and corrosion control.
I have been an active member of NACE and ASTM and as an ex-voting member of ASTM D02 Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants committee, I was engaged in supporting the industry’s changes along with the impact of public health and safety for the consumer. During these conferences, I was actively building relationships with customers through face to face customer engagement which promote and maintain good customer relations. My collaboration skills are strong, allowing me to work well with others, whether it be one-on-one or in a group setting. I have participated in supporting in technical team selling through direct customer interface and take pride in actively contributing towards team objectives and taking on new responsibilities. Working on a number of team projects has allowed me to develop my ability to communicate clearly and share best practices with others. My strengths include a commitment to safety and a zero-injury workplace, as well as respecting our environment and communities. I hope to be a valued member of your team and contribute to your ongoing success. I am actively seeking a fresh challenge. If my qualifications meet a need in your organization, I would appreciate the consideration. I would also greatly appreciate any advice or contacts that can help me further my search for a new position. I can be reached at 832-***-****. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to your reply. Sincerely,
Ha M. Nguyen
