I am mining graduate from University of Johannesburg; I also hold a degree in BSc geology from University of KwaZulu Natal. I am an open-minded individual with a practical approach to problem solving. I have been working as a shiftboss since January 2018, whereby I am responsible for ensuring and enforcing compliance as per requirement of M.R. 2.15.1. appointee. My aspiration is that after 10 years from now I should be a mine manager, because I believe that by then I would be fully conversant of what are the drivers of mining business.

Mining Graduate at Harmony Gold mine (Doornkop mine) -(January 2018-present)
I am currently working as shiftboss at Doornkop operation, my daily duties entailed the followings:
Enforcing standards and regulations as required by Law.
Planning, organizing, leading and controlling of production in my area of responsibility.
Communicating with both senior and lower level staff members with regards to day to day safety and production goals.
Clarifying newly implemented health and safety standards and procedures.
Mining Graduate at Harmony Gold mine (Bambanani mine) -(February 2015-January 2018)

I was working as miner at Bambanani operation, my daily duties entail the followings:
Ensuring that my crew is working safely but making sure that every task is done as per mine standard.
Ensure that daily and monthly targets are met by applying PLOC.
Every morning I report to section`s office whereby I communicate with the shiftboss and the mine overseer about what is expected on my panels.
Ensure that drilling control is place to ensure that the desired safety blast is achieved.
Intern geologist at Harmony Gold mine (Kusasalethu shaft)- (January 2012-December 2012)
As part of exposure for experiential learning I was engaged as intern geologist to gain the experience on the functions of geologists in a mining operation. The objective was to enhance and complement my geology background as I already had the geology degree as well as S1 and S2 in mining engineering. The granted me the opportunity to gain some experience on how can understanding of geology enhance safety and productivity if we mining personnel are fully conversant with it.

Reason for leaving: I was given the bursary by the company to finish mining engineering since I already had S1 and S2.
