I have nine years of experience working as certified Nursing Assistant in VA Palo Alto, VA Menlo Park, various Bay area Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and Home health with a solid understanding of appropriate patient care. In addition to my high school diploma, I completed a vocational program, obtaining my certification as a nursing assistant from the State of CA. I am also certified as a Hemodialysis technician and can efficiently perform care to dialysis patients as well. I am always refreshing my existing knowledge and taking new courses to excel/enhance my education.

I am proficient in using different models of Hemodialysis equipment; besides Hoyer lifts, bathing patients, changing linens and dressings, administering medications, and helping with hygiene. I am experienced in working with all types of patients like stroke, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, mental health, rehabilitation, and Hospice and psyche patients with varying needs. I am very patient and compassionate and I am skilled at dealing with difficult residents as well.

In addition to my education, I have current First Aid, CPR, IV Therapy certification, Medication Administration and CCHT certifications. I have excellent documentation and electronic data capture skills and submit daily logs prior to shift end for the nurses to include in each resident's records. I document daily vitals, body wt., food/urine intake Blood glucose checks etc. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can communicate in other languages like Hindi, Punjabi, Dogri as well.
