Performing visual inspection of piping installation including: Verifying piping material identity (pipe, valves and fittings) and its conformance to the installation drawings. Verifying that welding inspection has been performed and joints have been released

Verification that dimensions and alignment tolerances of the piping systems are as per constructs specifications.

In-process surveillance to verify compliance with specified piping erection procedure including flange alignments, torqueing, cleanliness etc.

Performing piping walk down inspection and completing punch lists. Verifying that punch list items have been dealt with in accordance with the contractual arrangements.

Reviewing and verifying completeness of piping test packages (hydro or pneumatic) prior to testing.

Witnessing final piping tests.

Completing and endorsing all inspection records from initial inspection till final acceptance of the piping systems

Maintaining interface with the Client (at the shop level) to ensure that all contractual and code requirements are met as far as the inspection scope is concerned.

Handle onsite auditing, studying the actual requirements, recommending painting systems and attending trouble shooting.

Monitor the Quality Audits, witnessing and reviewing the records as per relevant specification as per clients requirement.

Job Profile : QC-Mechanical & NDT

Inspection for Installation of Rotating Equipment include padding Elevation, Position, Orientation, Levelness, Lube oil Flushing Inspection, Preliminary shaft alignment, and Final shaft alignment and Solo run of Motor, Mechanical Runs Test of Pumps, Compressor, F.D Fan for boiler, Air Blowers monitor the various parameters such as Vibration, Bearing temperature, Noise, Flow and Pressure during first start up.

Inspection for Installation of Static Equipment include Padding elevation, Position, Orientation, Verticality, Levelness, Platform & ladder, Vessel Internal work, Vessel Box-up, etc.

Rotating equipment reverse/face & rim alignment, soft foot check motor solo run & run out/axial float check, piping to RE alignment, flange parallelism/offset & pipe strain & pipe spring support setting should not exceed the tolerance specified

Ensure that all Static equipment Alignment, leveling, verticality & plumpness, bolt tightening, foundation, grouting,, chipping, & padding.

Inspection for preservation, Soft foot / coupling preliminary alignment, coupling Final alignment with & without pipe connection by face enter / reverse alignment methods (RIM & FACE, TIR Values, DBSE with Dial gauges / inside micrometer ) and Levelness checking of Soleplate mounted / Channel mounted vertical pumps, Compressors using master level and Fin fan coolers alignment, Blade Angle, Tip clearance etc. Works as a part of a team and ensures the completion of all mechanical activities on site as per client’s requirements.

Responsible for the inspection activities independently and to ensure a timely and efficient inspection and quality of vendor/suppliers, subcontractors and independent inspectors.

Co-ordinate with the COMPANY representative on schedule, inspection and expediting control and issues.

Preparation/Issuing of Non-conformance and corrective action report (NCR & CAR) and review proposed disposition submitted by concerning parties (i.e. vendors) and monitor rectification & closing NCR/CAR items.

Contributing support for static & rotating equipment to pee-commissioning & commissioning for flawless start up initiatives for mechanical flange joint integrity, zero leakage for piping connection to equipment, & preservation of equipment.

Manage the punch listing activities issuing/closing & classifying their categories A, B, C & D in accordance to their criticality for static & rotating equipment prior to client final walk down for per-commissioning.

Witness of alignment, orientation and dimensions of installed piping

Witnessing the Hydro testing of the pipe lines, drums and vessels.

Perform VT on welds completed before offering for NDT. Perform NDT works viz. – UT, MPI & PT.

Ensure NDT works are schedules, Performed and documented as appropriate.

Coordinate NDT activities and ensuring NDT requirements.

Preparing samples of UT with N5 /N10 notches. F.B.H. F.B.S., Through the Drilled hole and as per the customer Requirement.

Interpretation and evaluation of radiographic films and repair marking I Identification and on spot rectification and Re- NDT Checking by Radiography & PT or as per Project code requirement.
