• Develop gross motor goals for over 22 active treatment day program, run weekly gross motor group where goals are assessed, documented, and reported to DDS in a quarterly meeting.
• Provides ongoing training to both education/active treatment staff regarding bracing, equipment, positioning and gross motor goals.
• Develop and monitor restorative nursing programs for resident’s no longer on direct PT services.
• Works with staff development to train all new nursing staff during orientation period including: Hoyer training, Bracing and orthotics, standers, and bed positioning.
• Provides ongoing training to both education/active treatment staff regarding bracing, equipment, positioning and gross motor goals.
• Develop/update positioning photographs of residents bracing, bed positioning, and wheelchair positioning for nursing staff to reference in their rooms.
• Able to maintain/repair/modify wheelchairs for all of specialty unit (30 beds) including: tilting mechanism, brakes, head rests, growing w/c, laterals leg rests and complete rebuilds for new residents awaiting chairs from insurance.

New England Sinai Hospital Inpatient Services Stoughton, MA 4/10 – 6/10
• During my final clinical affiliation here I gained valuable experience working with acute care patients. These patients were recovering from profound injury/medical procedures (stroke, traumatic brain injury, joint replacements, surgeries and loss of limb). I worked closely with physicians and the medical team to produce the best clinical outcomes.
Southeastern Medical Center Outpatient Facility Plainville, MA 8/09 – 11/09
• During my time at Sotheastern Medical Center Outpatient facility here I gained experience working with outpatient clientele ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics suffering from varied diagnosis including: sciatica, disc dysfunction, ACL/MCL repair, sprains/strains, plantar fasciitis. I was able to provide home exercise programs and instruct in safe body mechanics to prevent injury. Life Care Center of Attleboro Attleboro, MA 04/09 – 6/09
• Working in the SNF with primarily geriatric patients I was able to gain experience helping patients to regain function after joint replacements, COPD exacerbations, stroke and pneumonia.
