Introduction
I am a traveled, highly motivated, responsible, cool-headed, hardworking fast learner, with a hungry enthusiasm to learn, and till now I have been underutilized in what I know I can achieve in a successful working environment. I have good English-language communicative skills, can work under stress, and I am a good team-worker but confident to work alone if required.
My work experience below does not reflect the direction I would really like to take professionally, but the Covid-19 virus has thrown the world into mayhem and work opportunities have become increasingly limited. I am therefore open to any opportunities that may exist for me, but I would love to be employed in a position that I will learn from, grow within, and be challenged to produce my best.
Employment
April 2018 - July 2020 OFW in Malaysia
I took this position to give me the experience of working overseas and to earn more money. My main duties were cooking, being responsible of three children and the elderly members of the family. I was responsible for all the household chores and errands outside of the home.
I worked extremely long hours, and I feel that I achieved all my tasks beyond expectation. Due to the Covid-19 crisis my employer asked me to extend my contract which I did willingly until they could find a replacement.
August 2017 - February 2018 Magnifico Spa, Pasay City
I was trained in Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu massage, as well as body scrub, ear-candling and foot spa. We also provided traditional “hilot” with banana leaf and hot pack.
Having already worked in the reception of a spa, I was eager to learn all these massage techniques. I was very happy that the Spa was extremely strict with its hygiene and cleanliness, and I also found it very interesting mixing and preparing the massage oils.
May 2012 - November 2016 Doze-Off Spa, Taguig City
As the receptionist managing the operations of the Spa, I was responsible for arranging the therapist’s timetables, responsible for the inventory of sales/income, and was responsible for the marketing of the Spa around the hotels and condos.
I enjoyed my duties at the Spa, in supporting its success and growth.
April 2009 - October 2010 Family Residential, Cebu City
Sadly, after High School I could not go to College, because I became pregnant and had to take this job to support my son. I would have loved to continue my education, but at this time in my life my son had to be my main priority.
I enjoyed being with the family and my duties included cooking for the family, checking on food supplies and providing food supplies for all the house staff, the chores around the house and caring for the children.
