PROJECT

ACADEMIC PROJECT :

Title : The Performance Analysis Of QPSK Over Rayleigh Channel & AWGN Channel. Problem Statement : Fading Problem is a major impairment of the wireless communication channel. Solution Implemented : To mitigate the fading and to have reliable communications in wireless channel, coding technique is often employed and compared with the BER performance over different channel such as Rayleigh and AWGN channel.

Modulation Technique : QPSK

Tools Used : MATLAB

Description : QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) is one of the most commonly used digital modulation technique in any communication system because of its efficient utilization of channel bandwidth and very low probability of error. In any modulation technique the Bit Error Rate (BER), power and spectral efficiency are the three main factors taken into consideration while designing any system. The objective of this project is to compare the BER performance using different channels such as Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and Rayleigh channel because BER is defined as the total number of bits transmitted over a period of time. In this the generation of BER for QPSK is evident that the transmission energy required over AWGN channel is less than that of Rayleigh channel. The complete model of QPSK is designed and modeled using MATLAB because the language offers tools and built in mathematical function which enables us to use various methods that are faster than any traditional language such as C, C++ or java.

Team Size : 4 members

Role & Responsibility : Played a leading role in overall planning, executing, monitoring and reviewing the project with the guidance of our Professor.

INTERNSHIP :
