My pharmacy career so far has included a plethora of experiences. It started out in high school when I volunteered at a nursing home, and then at an outpatient pharmacy at DMC Huron Valley. It expanded my interest to pursue a future in the healthcare field due to wanting to help people live a better and healthier life. During my time in undergrad, I began to expand my experience in independent pharmacy and then chain pharmacy, CVS. At my graduate program, I further became more involved in an inter- professional coaching with a team of PAs, NPs, DOs, Nurses, and dentistry students at homeless shelters. During my IPPEs and APPEs, I completed rotations involved in Infusion Pharmacy, Critical Care, Specialty Pharmacies in ambulatory and managed care (PBM) settings, as well as independent pharmacy and management with Kroger. My volunteer experience has had a tremendous impact on my pharmacy career. Without such volunteer experience, my pharmacy career would not have flourished or have gained such knowledge. I plan on implementing the knowledge I have gained throughout my volunteer experience during my everyday life.Pharmacy, Critical Care, Specialty Pharmacies in ambulatory and managed care (PBM) settings, as well as independent pharmacy and management with Kroger.
