Project Thesis

Project Title Comptroller Accounting Process Reengineering Initiative(CAPRI) Customer AIG

Period Feb 2019 to till date

Description CAPRI (Comptroller Accounting Process Reengineering Initiative) is a Tax Sub ledger system that automates insurance tax processing based on the dynamic tax rates defined by the comptrollers. This process is performed by the ETL tool Datastage.

The generated charges for the underwriting companies are available in the CAPRI relational database and this data is then sent to the downstream system in a pre-defined format. The data from the CAPRI relational database is also processed to the CAPRI Data mart for reporting purposes; this is achieved through the Datastage Jobs.

The transactional data loaded to CAPRI Data mart, acts as a data source for the Cognos reports. These Cognos reports with a pre defined template will provide the required information to the users.
