Firefighter/EMT with over 6 years experience, and over a decade involved in the Fire Service. Industrial firefighting and remote EMS experience as well as technical rescue and HAZMAT. Looking to transition back into the municipal fire service in a long term, full time position.

Firefighter/EMT-B/H2S Technician

Gryphon ESP, Midland

Roles performed: FF/EMT B, HAZMAT Technician, Confined Space Rescue Team, H2S Technician, Rentals, Shop Hand.

Primary job duty is to provide Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical services in remote industrial locations for the Oil & Gas industry under direction of the EMR/FF division of Gryphon ESP. Will also assist with assembly and installation of stationary CAFS fire suppression systems. Secondary assignment is to assist the Safety Services division when needed with H2S monitoring and mitigation, breathing air supply utilizing cascade trailers, HAZMAT emergency response and mitigation as an OSHA certified HAZMAT Technician, monitor Permit Required Confined Space work sites and act as Confined Space Rescue team member or team lead.

During down time between job assignments, I will assist in shop or office cleaning and maintenance duties, including but not limited to building new fire apparatus, maintenance of fire pumps, fabrication of H2S monitoring equipment stands and mounts, and SCBA repair and function testing. Occasionally assist the Rentals division by delivering and assembling flare stacks, shower trailers, cooling stations, and wellhead restraints.

This was a seasonal contract labor position serving as an Onsite Medical Representative at an Amazon Fulfilment facility. Duties included providing treatment for injuries and illnesses in a clinical setting, patrolling the warehouse for safety hazards and violations, and investigating OSHA recordable incidents and workplace related injuries.

Collected, sorted, and delivered Amazon packages to customers in assigned service area utilizing either company van or personal vehicle. This provided several challenges including overcoming difficult access situations, alternative routing when GPS was inaccurate, traversing harsh weather conditions, and remaining calm and aware in high crime areas. Primary job duty was to provide fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services to the citizen's of Rhome and surrounding areas of Wise County. During my nearly 6 year tenure with the department I assisted in several projects, including striping and applying new graphics to frontline apparatus, building new office space, and researching cost effective replacement options for aging apparatus. Resigned in good standing due to no longer meeting hourly membership requirements because of full time industrial firefighter position. Awards/Achievements:
