PROJECT NAME: AUTOMATED ELECTRICITY BILLING SOFTWARE SYSTEM USING GSM.

SOFTWARE USED: Embedded C, Keil, Preload bunners software & .NET application development using Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express.

HARDWARE USED: Microcontroller, Current sensor circuit, Power supply, LCD, GSM.

DESCRIPTION:

The digital energy meter is interfaced to the easy recharge unit(mobile interface & graphical user interface) and is converted into prepaid energy meter. By interfacing digital energy meter with easy recharge unit, it is possible to stop the misuse of electricity by alerting the user through messages.

This concept explores the use of Intelligent Energy Meters for providing consumers with ability to control domestic energy consumption and also provide service providers with better control on energy consumed and paid for. Overall intention is to control, track and save on domestic energy consumption and also provide a sustainable business platform to extend the use to organizational/ industrial consumption.

Using .Net application on the graphical user interface allows us to recharge online and sends text messages to the mobile interface about the amount being recharged.

This system is broadly based on embedded C coding & .Net application, in which all the information is processed automatically according to the code and displays the number of units consumed and the remaining balance on the LCD to the users.
