Structural Engineer

■ MARSA AL ARAB

Location: Dubai Client: ASGC/DH

Project Description: - This is Design and build project comprising 5-star hotel and luxury Service apartment. The primary component of hotel building is 65m span steel arch Transfer structure supporting 11 Levels above to suit the architectural intent for grand drop off

• Involved from Concept stage leading to the construction phase

• Studied various structural options for 65m span and 20m height Arch structure and liaised with contractor to finalize the most suitable option considering cost and constructability with help of technical lead

• Represented structural team in internal and external coordination workshop with other design discipline such as Architecture, MEP, Façade, Landscape

• Engaged in coordination with site office, RFI, reviewing and approving specialist ’s design calculation

• Addressed third pier party comments and involved in supporting local authority submissions

• Configured Finite Element model using ETABS and SAFE for hotel building and independent analysis models for Arch structure

• Liaised with the offshore Atkins office in India for design development and delivery WSP GLOBAL, INDIA July 2014 – OCT 2018

Senior Structural Engineer

■ YAS SOUTH ARENA

Location: Abu Dhabi Client: MIRAL

Project Description: - This Arena project is 18000 seater comprising of 60-110 m span Roof Steel Truss, Precast Seating and composite floor slab system.

• Configured 3D Finite Element model using SAP with Steel Roof Trusses, Composite floor plates and Bowl Structural system

• In addition to Wind Tunnel Forces and Seismic as per IBC 2009, The actual Construction Sequences was captured in overall analysis Model based on contractor inputs

• Proposed structural sizes for Precast Seating Units and Precast Raker Beams based on vibration study for Rhythmic activities as per PCI Handbook

• Prepared an independent ETABS MODEL for design of the composite beams and floor Trusses system as per AISC 360-10

• Lead a team of 1 Engineer and 2 Bim Technicians to produce construction drawings with the support of lead office in Dubai

■ BLUEWATER WHARF RETAIL

Location: Dubai Client: Mirage Building Contracting LLC Project Description: - Bluewater Wharf Retail consists of twelve commercial buildings over 200,000 m2. It is a challenging project involving large floor plate areas and transfer structures given the architectural design intent

• Prepared concept ETABS Model for 6 buildings and involved in preliminary structural sizing for Scheme Design

• Responsible for detail design of the vertical and horizontal structural elements of the buildings with ACI 318-08

• Prepared piling layout, pile cap and raft details using SAFE

■ A4 RESIDENTIAL TOWER

Location: Dubai Client: EMAAR

Project Description: - This Highrise tower is a luxury residential and office use structure comprising 84 stories

• Designed the 40 m high Steel Crown structure using SAP based on actual wind tunnel forces with guidance of the lead office in Dubai

• Studied Axial Shortening for tower using Nonlinear analysis in ETABS considering time dependent material properties

■ C2 C4 Dubai World Trade Centre

Location: Dubai Client: Dubai World Trade Centre LLC Project Description: - This is a business complex in which two new commercial towers are planned to be added of 14 stories each

• Prepared the SAFE Model for slab design and prepared the reinforcement drawings

• Designed columns & shear walls using ETABS and carried out independent checks using S-Concrete AHUJA CONSULTANTS INDIA PVT. LTD. July 2012– June 2014

• As Structural Design Engineer, I was Responsible for Modelling and Analyzing Structures using ETABS, SAFE, RAM-CONCEPT software in addition to hand calculations

• Produced construction drawings, Design Basis Report, Bill of Quantities

• Designed and Detailed Beam, Column, Shear Wall, Slab, Footing, Raft, Flat Slab etc. as per IS Code-456,IS-1893
