DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
JULY 2019 – PRESENT
Responsible for determining and implementing the most efficient, economical, and
safe dispatch of flight in accordance with PCAR.
Maintain current flight watch of all aircraft movement and status; together with the
PIC, the dispatcher is responsible for the operational control of each flight while on
duty.
Collect, disseminates, and files all arrival, departure, flight advisories, flight plan and
other messages associated with flights.
Prepare all required flight documents and flight irregularity reports.
Assist crewmembers with their respective operational requirements and information
needed prior to execution of flight such as sunrise, sunset, fuel, hours of operations,
curfew, flight route and ATC flight plan.
File ATC flight plans for all domestic/international flights and coordinate with
corresponding ATC unit for proper and expeditious handling of dispatch ATC
clearance.
Provides the Company with continuous and immediate weather information and
forecast weather condition for efficient and safe planning of flight.
Collect, collate and analyze hourly weather report and terminal area forecast and
decide if a flight is a “go” or “no-go” based on these reports.
Ensure that each flight has complied with the conditions specified for release before it
is allowed to depart.

Responsible to the Manager Flight Dispatch for maintaining and planning safe and on-time flight schedules; forward planning to try to reduce disruption to the flight program and its possible impact on safety.
Exercising operational control on a co-authority basis with the pilot-in-command, and for the joint responsibility of the safe efficient planning and monitoring of a flight
The developing, reviewing, authorizing, issuing and revising, as required, of the Operational Flight Plan for all flights inclusive of training and test flight operations, in keeping with Safety Regulatory

Maintain surveillance of operational aspects of en-route and terminal (destination, alternate and contingency aerodromes) conditions about ongoing suitability for company operations.
Apply company fuel policy to generate and distribute computerised flight plans accounting for all
operational factors applicable to a given flight.
Collate and distribute relevant weather/NOTAMs/operational messages in support of company flight operations.
