Maintaining; implementing, managing relational databases in Oracle 9i/10g/11g and SQL Server 2005/2008/2008r2/2010/2012 for earth sciences applications, and interfacing with technical personnel to define environmental information needs and program structures. These are production critical databases that require 24/7 maintenance. This requires a thorough knowledge of backup/recovery techniques to provide constant access to users and clients. This includes using clones of database to keep certain information behind firewalls protected from being compromised. These databases include the building of views, stored procedures, materialized views, and triggers. Maintain security through user and role creation. Experience migrating from 8i to 9i, 9i to 10g and 10g to 11g.

Helped institute new deployments of client software. These programs helped with the workflow and increased productivity. I was responsible for seeing that all aspects were addressed between our field teams and the client. Helped with changes to the system to streamline the process.
