• The Bridge is located between Funder and Aarhus (Denmark) and it is 66.6 m long, two span and two lane overpass bridge.

• The substructure is of twin circular columns at middle support and plate columns at end supports.

Detailed design for new rail link between Copenhagen - Ringstead, Denmark, N-BRA-09 at 2012

• Denmark proposed new two way rail link between Copenhagen to Ringstead which consists of several overpass bridges and underpass tunnels.

• N-BRA-09 is a four span “U trough” overpass bridge with a span of about 70 m pre- stressed bridge.

• The intermediate columns are connected integrally with the superstructure and the end supports are connected with POT bearings.

• The bridge is modelled and analysed in LUSAS and the design is done as per the Euro codes – Danish Annexure.

A parametric study was done on the structure to predict the responses and to find the suitable design guidelines accordingly.
