As my resume indicates, my years as a Pharmacist are comprehensive. My professional experience includes over 35 years of retail pharmacy experience, advanced training and certification in Diabetes Disease Management, and over 12 years as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, School of Pharmacy. At USP, I earned the distinguished adjunct teaching award twice. My commitment to continuing education and advancement of my career is most evident in my recent certification as an Immunization Specialist.

My experience as a Certified Immunization Specialist has not been limited to the administration of immunizations in a pharmacy setting. For the previous five years, with goals of upwards of 2000 flu immunizations per season, I led the design and execution of numerous community based immunization clinics as part of a larger strategic community outreach initiative. This experience allowed me to interact with countless local businesses, school districts, nursing homes, and retirement communities.

For the implementation of these flu clinics and the successful achievement of the immunization goals, I was awarded premier district immunizer five consecutive years. In addition to the influenza vaccine, my immunization proficiency includes, but is not limited to, pneumonia and shingles.

Earlier in my career, I held supervisory positions in management, including overseeing the entire health department at a large local retailer in addition to the pharmacy department.

My years as a pharmacist and adjunct professor have forged a thorough understanding of the cognitive, social, and affective processes which impact human health. My approach to care is informed both by the standards of scientific practice in my field coupled with an understanding of the social determinants of health. It is this combined perspective which has led to outstanding patient outcomes. My approach to patient care aligns well with the approach at Pozent .
