Industrial Design Engineer

Developed Eargo Neo HiFi and launched at CES 2020. Worked in all phases of the product design process including Product iteration development, Concept creation (sketch/2D illustration), 3D CAD (modeling/structure reorganization), 2D engineering drawing, GD&T, Manufacturing measurement inspection, Product part tracking specification, Commercial USG rendering, CES animation rendering. Also owned design and manufacturing of Neo HiFi retail display head for B8ta store.

Assisted in Eargo unreleased product for industrial surfacing design, 3D CAD modeling (ID/Engineering), LED Battery indicator interaction, initial packaging design (CMF). Provided concept feasibility and user experience test through procedures of 3D printing, DOE, rapid injection mold.

Lead industrial design for Eargo advanced development products. Concept feasibility studies are conducted through various design process including Conceptualize product design procedure(2D/3D), 3D printing, CMF study, Design for manufacturing, Stack tolerance analysis, Prototyping/injection mold part design, DOE of model user experiences, internal component layouts and mechanism trial (SolidWorks).

Eargo has partnered with numerous innovative showrooms over 10+ states in America. Commonly, the store provides a rough and low-quality display model to presents the products. To have a fantastic user in-store experience, compelling product attraction and delivery a premium products, Eargo decided to design our own display model that has extraordinary features compare to other brands. Simply and clearly to display the Eargo hearing aids and the charger was the primary design goal in this project. INtech Motion Capture

M-Track design project cooperated with Intech based in China. The starting point of the project was in advanced development progress, and tasked for designing a wearable head capture that has features of portable, easy setup, unique form, great user experience and distinctive from existing market products. Design research was implemented from product function analysis to design criteria definition in different aspects including user ergonomics, device adjustment, material property comparison, human head skeleton study, size measurements, user operation experience.

The objective of this project was to derive the Ryobi brand design language that can be used both of Model #RY803001 and Model #RY802800 in a new line of the pressure washer. Integrating with Ryobi aesthetics and product functionalities, the final design mainly consists of four components, frame form, nozzle panel, motor housing and soap tank. In corporating with another team member, the pipe frame design was the initial basic form development and we independently created the rest of the component concepts and narrowing down the top choices for a final combination.
