Dear Human Resources Professional,
I am writing in response to your posted position for a Registered Pharmacy Technician. I have obtained my Texas license as a pharmacy technician and my national certification. Additionally, I have completed an externship at Kindred Hospital in the Houston, Texas to enrich my knowledge of hospital policies and to hone my customer service skills.
As a pharmacy technician student, I was recognized for superior pharmacy calculation skills in compounding and IV admixture courses. My knowledge of the subject matter was exemplified throughout my course work and by helping other technician students through course material.
In my years’ experience in retail and pharmacy retail, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with all levels of employees and a diverse patient population. I am well versed in medical terminology and in the procedures of filling out prescriptions. I have a vast experience in assisting licensed pharmacists in managing daily pharmacy tasks such as, processing and filling prescriptions, stocking shelves, managing inventory, answering phone calls, and third party resolutions. I take pride in my knowledge of both retail and hospital pharmacies and in understanding the different demands that each require.
My resume outlines specifics about my education and knowledge of pharmaceutical dispensing. I would welcome the opportunity to complete a screening exam to further document my knowledge and skills. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your consideration.
