KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –
Responsible for quality of work executed by assuring it to conform to the approved construction drawings, project specifications, and applicable local standards.
Visual inspection of incoming materials with respect to approved drawings, specifications, approved material submittals, approved samples.
Carryout regular site inspections and advice the Quality related issues to the Project Manager and discuss corrective/preventive actions with the site staff
Testing & Commissioning of Electrical systems in the presence of Project Consultants.
Familiarize with companies Quality Management System in line with requirements of ISO.
Study the Project Quality Plan and monitor the requirements of the acceptance criteria defined in the Quality Control Plan/Inspection Test Plans.
Maintain quality records such as material submittals/ inspection requests/ required logs of activities related to Quality Control as per Project requirements.
Preparation of weekly/ monthly QA/QC reports and forwarding the same to the Client/Consultant/Main Contractor with a copy to Projects QA/QC Manager /Project file.
Studying the drawings and specifications.
Providing required support to the third party personnel.
Preparation of Method Statement, Checklists & ITP.
Issue Internal/External NCR or Site Observation and take preventive and corrective actions.
Conduct regular Site Surveillance.
Coordinating with the site/sub contract personnel in different areas of operations to ensure the final product complies with the contract specifications/drawings.
To verify and keep a record of the measuring instruments indicating the status of checking/calibration.
To report any deviation in the working methods pertaining to the construction activities in accordance with approved construction drawings/Project Quality Plan/specifications/method statements.
To participate in internal meetings and Main contractors/consultants/sub-contractors meeting.
To face the Internal/ Third party Audits and to comply with the requirements by maintaining the required records.
Regular Training of the Site Team to improve the Quality of Works.
Assists as necessary the Engineering department in the evaluation and correction of specific quality control problems and issues.
