Talent Acquisition

Managing the recruitment cycle by identifying the talent pool from diverse sources based on the manpower requirements in co-ordination with cross functional departmental heads.

Executing the entire gamut of activities in recruitment from sourcing, screening, selection, release of offer letters, etc.

Inducting new joinees about the organizational policies and procedures, facilitating their interaction with different functional heads to make them aware of various functions.

Training and Development

Co-ordinating with Department Heads in identifying training needs, both functional and behavioural needs for the employees.

Developed a training centre with various cut models made in-house for training employees on TPM concepts.

Preparation of Training Calendar & organizing various programs as per plan. Industrial Relations

Responsible for maintaining cordial relationship with Unions in the plant.

Supported the Senior Management team to execute Long Term Settlement and Bonus settlements with Unions.

To attend the Union meetings, Negotiation with Unions, Drafting of minutes as and when required.

Supported the Management to implement re-structuring of workmen without any disruption based on the Settlement entered with Unions.

Sensing Internal & External climate and recommending the due actions to the Leadership team for hassle free plant operations.

Preparation of Show cause letters, Enquiry Proceedings, Warning letters, Punishments, Circulars and other Communications.

Management Representative for Domestic enquiry and attended Conciliation.

Maintaining good rapport with all statutory authorities for smooth functioning of the plant.

Employee Engagement Activities

Organizing various events like Employees Birthday celebration, Safety Day, Environment Day, Founder’s day, Ayudha Pooja, Pongal celebration, Employees Long Service award celebration with family and other get-together events.

Organizing Communication meeting (Open House Meet) for the Blue collars with the Senior Management Group on half yearly basis. Performance Management

Developed a new system for monitoring the performance of shop floor employees.

Drafting and Issue of Compensation letters / Promotion orders / Transfer orders to the employees.

Executing the annual wage increments / grades based on the settlement entered with the Unions.

Statutory Compliances

Instrumental in ensuring the statutory requirements on time (factory license, submission of statutory returns, obtaining necessary exemptions).

Ensuring the statutory compliances pertaining to contract labour management / Amendment of RC / Issue of form – V to contractor for Licence renewal.

Maintaining necessary registers and records as per statutory norms under various labour acts.

Co-ordinating with payroll team for processing Gratuity, PF, Leave Salary to the employees attaining superannuation / expired while in service / separation under medical grounds.

Registration of Apprentices’ contracts, Submission of claims / returns, etc. pertaining to Apprentices Act to the advisor of BOAT / Govt. RI centre. Employee Welfare

Sourcing and issuing Uniforms, Shoes and Consumables to the Employees & Apprentices.

Visit to Shop floor and Canteen on a daily basis and addressing the grievances of the employees.

Sick employee home visit, attending employees’ wards marriage function with a gift and to employees’ condolence as a part of welfare measure. Time Office Management

Responsible for processing salary to employees, trainees & apprentices.

Maintaining Attendance Records, Leave updating, Leave Encashment, Medical Reimbursement and maintaining Personnel files and records.

Ensuring statutory compliances related to Personnel and regular interaction with Payroll team.

Business Initiatives

Facilitating for the Change Management Initiative in shop floor - Self Directed Work Teams (SDWT)

Contributing for various Business initiatives like TPM, CSF/CFT projects, ISO, 5S, etc.
