Worked on sites – Suncor, Syncrude, Long Lake, Albian Sands & CNRL with different employers under the union

Employ control of hazardous energy practices and isolate equipment for maintenance activities

Perform structured operating round checks; Familiarity with Safe Work Permit system

Operate vehicles/equipment’s and move materials & equipment’s

Perform physical tasks such extraction, tailings, setting up equipment’s, demobilizing, sweeping, lifting, shovelling, back filling, grading and piling

Coordinate operating activities with other team members and Tailings posts

Participate in Safety Program (LPS); Participate in Preventative Loss system and tools

Perform duties at Confined space and of fire watch

Conduct adequate assessment of the hazards in confined space before any worker enters the confined space

Monitor work activities and handle safety equipment like fire extinguisher, eyewash & shower in case of emergency

Intervene in situations that require immediate intervention, such as accidents and emergencies

Assist Pipefitters and millwrights

Assisted Trade persons in providing required tools and helping them
