I am a graduate of the Miami Dade College Physician Assistant Program in Miami Florida and the Masters of Medical Science Program at Nova Southeastern University. I am seeking full time employment with a hospital, group of physicians, or an individual physician with a busy practice and a desire to work with a physician assistant as a team. Secondary duties include surgical first assist in a variety of orthopaedic surgeries to include total joint replacement to arthroscopy of the joints. Prescriptive privileges were utilized including controlled substances; as well as dictation of patient encounter, rounding, and occasional call coverage

Primary duties include diagnosis and treatment of
patient populations within the realm of urgent care. The patient population consists mostly of that
encountered within the realm of emergency medicine with some mild to moderate trauma. Surgical
procedures include excision and biopsy of skin
lesions as well as simple to moderately complex
suturing for a variety of situations. Prescriptive privileges were utilized.

arthroplasty of the hip, shoulder, and knee. Surgical assist was also performed in rotator cuff repair (open and arthroscopic), fracture care, carpal tunnel
release, and various trauma related surgeries.

Interests and Activities
Recently, I have taken an interest in digital photography and photographic editing within Adobe Lightroom. My research experience includes a six-month period of immunofluorescence microscopy with Dr. Maria Hledin-Burnatowska of Hope College and a one-month period of African biodiversity / parasitology studies in Tanzania Africa. I am also a certified open water scuba diver and I enjoy spending my free time with my wife Traci, my eighteen-month-old son Brecken, and our dog Daphne.
Computer Skills
My computer skills and experience are somewhat extensive. EMR systems utilized to date have been Power Chart, E-clinical works, EMA Orthopaedics, All Scripts, Practice Fusion, and various HTML based EMRs. I have programming knowledge in Basic, Turbo Pascal, and HTML. I am proficient with Microsoft Windows 3.1 to 10, Adobe Photoshop editing, and recently Pocket PC / Android OS medical applications. I also have experience in the use of Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. My computer experience also includes computer design, hardware and construction.
Languages
I have taken two years of college level Spanish. I have a good vocabulary and speak fairly well. After working and training in Miami, Florida I have had a good deal of practice.
