Applicable Skills

Inpatient management of postoperative, postpartum, and acutely ill obstetric and gynecologic patients. Proficient in admission, daily rounding, and discharge of patients on our service. Communicates important changes in patient status, orders appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments in collaboration with the supervising physician and nursing staff. Consults with providers regarding concerns outside our scope of practice.
Office-based procedures: IUD insertion, Nexplanon device insertion, endometrial biopsy, basic bedside sonography, I and D's, skin biopsy, closure of wounds via sutures and Dermabond; wound and skin care, injections, aseptic and isolation techniques, venipuncture, collection of cultures, CPR, placement of catheters.
Surgical First Assistant experienced in minimally invasive procedures including robotic assisted with the daVinci Si Surgical System, as well as open approaches including cesarean section.
