Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of electrical & electromechanical concepts and applications of components, schematics and Characteristics.

• Expertise and skills on electronic component manufacturers/suppliers, electronic component families.

• Component lifecycle and obsolescence of electronic components (gather Year to End-Of Life (YEOL), PCN, PDN, LTB, Availability, Lead time).

• Verifying Hazardous material Composition present on the component as per European Directive 2015/863 Annex III with the help of MDS, ROHS and REACH Declaration from OEM.

• Cross checking all parts of BOM for life cycle stages, number of pins, packaging type and suggesting alternate of active and passive components.

• Alternate Component Selection (Form Fit Function) of electronic components and upgrade/downgrade alternates, gather obsolescence information from manufacturer, Lifecycle Analysis Report, Manufacturers Migration History.

• Verify components to ensure suitability identify package styles, technologies and identify alternates to support the end application.

• Working on ECO/ECN/ECR for the respective projects for NPI builds and the same is updating across CFT.

• Working on Component library (AML and AVL) for Assembly BOM and maintain.

• Working on CAD data with allegro tool for part design support includes, Orientation check, DFA of footprint and marking of the component.

• Support design engineering in identification and qualification of electrical and mechanical electronic components.

• Initiate and lead the efforts to identify and qualify second sources for material availability, cost reduction.

• Execute component evaluation, acceptance, packaging style, tape dimension for kitting guidelines.

• Track component lifecycles. Proactively identify and drive solutions to resolve End-of-life (EOL) and obsolete situations to minimize impacts.

• Manage all communication with manufacturers and distributors on supply of components and evaluate all results effectively.
