PROFILE
My name is Luke, and I would love to put my skills I am currently developing at Texarkana College to use at the Libbey Glass Company. I saw the position of Forming Operator Trainee online, and I think I would be a great fit. I see where the job requires to work 12 - hour shifts, at my last job, I worked long shifts starting at 3AM. So, I have plenty of experience doing shift work. I also have plenty of experience wearing PPE as well as working with tools.

I am currently enrolled in my last semester at Texarkana college. I will be graduating August 7th. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA in the Electronics Technology and Instrumentation Program. This program has given me hands on experience with electrical wiring, multimeters, motors, sensors, PLCs, gauges, thermocouples, and much more.

I have received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing at ULM. Graduating with honors, I finished the degree with a 3.75 GPA. Earning this degree has given me general knowledge of business.
WORK EXPERIENCE
KTBS - Video Asset Manager
2008–2018
I oversaw the editing of video clips played during the morning newscast. I was also responsible for archiving video content for future use.
West Fraser - Summer Internships
2004–2008
I participated in a paid internship program at West Fraser Lumber Mill. This was my first experience learning about the importance of PPE. It was mandatory to always wear ear plugs and hard hat while on the mill property. I also became familiar with lock out/tag out. I furthered my knowledge on these topics during my coursework at Texarkana College.
