This work included both internal and external communication systems Inclusive of fibre optics, SCADA & HMI systems, Towers and Microwave. Working with VOIP, internet / intranet. Wireless and Hardwired systems, including cellular.

PM /National Construction Manager NSN Canada

This role was for the ramp up (cellular systems) on behalf of NSN for Globalive. My responsibilities and duties included setting up process and procedures for S.A, Construction, Installation and Implementation both internally and through vendors inclusive of subcontract qualifying and selection,vendor selection and RFP/RFQ preparation .Included in this responsibility was design specification for Greenfield tower sites and rooftop sites. Setup of quality control and site acceptance

CME Project Manager Digicel Eastern Caribbean States

Responsible for the CME portion of the rollout and integration on behalf of Digicel in the Islands of Dominica, St.Kitts& Nevis, Anguilla, Antigua and Haiti. Performed bid evaluation, developed schedules, managed site construction and assisted in site acquisition. Developed process and procedures for RFQ and RFP. Interfaced with and managed local and international contractors.

Valard Construction, Worked as Project Manager for the telecom division on fibre optics at CNRL and opti nexen

Project Consultant for Ledcor Engineered and approved fibre optic layouts and nodes for their project with the Government of Alberta.

Project Manager for Motorola Project, Implementation of the Telkomsel Tinem Project, Jakarta, Indonesia with a project value of approximately $254 million US dollars. Full turnkey GSM cellular project consisting of RF/Transmission/Civil design, site acquisition, material procurement, civil construction-including shelters and towers, installation and acceptance of over 1200 base stations of which approximately 700 sites are new construction. Responsible for all CME activities inclusive of sub contractor management and negotiations, scheduling and budget control. From site acquisition, civil works, shelter, access roads, tower & antennas, equipment installation to commissioning. . Instrumental in the development of an SQL database for tracking / monitoring all phases of the project, including change orders, payables and receivables.

Project Manager Construction for Motorola’s Full Turnkey, TA Orange GSM 1800 Project, Bangkok, Thailand with a project value of approximately $307 million US dollars with over 1100 base stations, 23 BSC in the Northern, Western and Eastern areas of Thailand Reported directly to the Project Director in the capacity of senior project manager trouble-shooter. Assisted and advised all regional managers in the implementation of cellular systems. Setting timelines & schedules, budget and cost controls, negotiating with sub contractors and acceptance of sites.

Project Director Axia Netmedia prime contractor for the Alberta Governments Supernet project consisting of 10,000 kilometres of fibre optics, 400 nodes & 3,000 customer premise with Network Operations Centre. Responsible for setting up a pmo team, scheduling, budgeting, contract negotiations RFP / RFQ for all phases of this project.

Managing Director / Principal of Philippine Cable Networks & Construction ( PCNC) based in the Republic of the Philippines. A privately held telecommunications contracting firm with revenues from U.S $ 10 million to $100 million, yearly. Contracts were carried out through out Asia Pacific. Major clients ( Telco’s / Vendors) included: PLDT, PilTel, GlobeTelecom, Digitel, Bayantel, RCPI, PT&T AT&T, Lucent, Motorola, Nortel, Alcatel, Nokia, Ericsson and Siemens .

Country Manager G.M. Gest Inc Philippines. Responsible for the Engineering and Construction of 120 kilometres of fibre optic cable for the inland portion of the Guam Philippine Taiwan (GPT) optical network. Responsible for all new business development.

Project Manager G.M. Gest Trinidad & Tobago Responsible for Project management and implementation of short haul fibre backbones and the construction implementation of over 200 cabinet areas. This included material handling, ordering, placing of OP network, splicing and testing of both aerial and underground copper cables

Previous to the above I have held senior management positions with various companies such as Motorola, Nokia, Alcatel and AT&T,BCtel and AGT . I also owned and managed one of the largest utility contracting firms in Asia for 18 years.
