TRANSOCEAN OFFSHORE DEEPWATER DRILLING – Houston, Texas 2018 – 2020
Senior Tech Specialist, IT Infrastructure
Deployed of 13 Nodes of Nutanix HCI cluster to replacement of HPE 7000 Blade server with EMC XtremIO w/ ESXi, and then migration of the VM from HPE and EMC XtremIO to Nutanix with vSphere 6.7 for both Prod/Dev.
Replaced IBM P6-595, P550, and P740 with IBM P870 and P850 with EMC XtremIO.
Oversaw information technology infrastructure on a global scale, including networking, voice and data communications, engineering, project management, and end-user technical support.
Implemented of two EMC Isilon NAS w/ +200TB each with Superna Eyeglass to replication DR site to enable the failover and failback of the production NAS

Disk workload was consistently over 75% utilization before the flash cache install. After the upgraded and installed hardware, disk utilization went below 30%.
Performed a VMware 5.5 migration to VMware 6.0, the migration consisted of different elements that included storage area network and network.

All of the requirements for green fielding a new data center: Rack, fiber patch panel, PDU, New SAN, etc.

Engineering, planning, and implementing the transition of SAN storage from Symmetrix DMX4 to VMAX3, from Clariion CX3-80 and IBM ESS-800 to Symmetrix DMX4.
