Provided programming support to Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Chesapeake (SPAWARSYSCEN) in support of and as directed by CACI, Inc. as the prime contractor. Duties included applications design, programming changes, software upgrades, and Y2K compliance and testing in the development of SNAP Automated Medical System (SAMS) Version 7.06 utilizing FoxPro 2.6 for DOS and conversion to SAMS 8.0 utilizing Visual FoxPro 6.0. Also created new reports and export/import routines in FoxPro for DOS. Produced generic coding and framework based applications development in Visual FoxPro 6.0. SAMS is a LAN compatible, PC based application which provides full automation of the duties for Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC’s), Medical Supply, Immunization tracking and reporting, Radiation and Occupational Health Monitoring, Medical Training, and Medical and Dental Record Keeping. This user-friendly application has gained wide acceptance throughout the Navy and Marine Corp, and today is implemented at over 1500-1600 shore and afloat activities. In the near future, SAMS will be implemented by the U.S. Coast Guard and Military Sealift Command reaching approximately 2000 sites. SAMS may also be used as the basis for a DOD- wide medical/dental tracking program. It will be implemented as a Windows NT application, version (8.0) is due in the fleet in the 3rd quarter of ’99.

Programming in Visual FoxPro for the automation of daily Credit Card charges, using ICVerify, to update approvals, and integrate data from a separate Unix based system into one database.
