RESEARCH INTEREST

My research work is devoted to the study of the properties of heavy-light hadrons at low energies. The vast available data on charm and bottom hadrons is challenging the naive quark model. Naturally, we require either some non perturbative approach or some model which can capture relevant physics. We have investigated some properties of heavy-light charm and bottom mesons related to their masses, decay widths, coupling constants using an effective theory “Heavy quark Effective Theory”. With certain approximations, we have calculated the masses and decay widths of various experimentally missing charm and bottom states, which have opened a window to investigate the higher excitations of these mesons at the LHCb, BABAR, BESIII etc.
