• Process and system development

- Implemented Kanban system in process from Die casting to warehouse during 2019-2020.

- Developed a detailed standard working system for Preventive Maintenance of fixtures and tools across the plant through Facility study, Layout creation and tool life analysis

- Designed a detailed layout for plant expansion covering end to end requirements Handled policy planning of productivity improvement projects in-line with organization’s targets and developed and monitored KPI and KAI of Productivity for 2018-19 and 2019-20

• New Product development for Two-wheeler Engine & transmission parts.

- Developed standard operating procedure (SOP) for 6 BMW G 310 R parts and 6 TVS motor engine parts for Melting, die casting and finishing processes.

- PPAP documentation including PFC, PFD, PFMEA, Control plan & packing standard for 12 new parts.

- Reduced investment cost on new facilities by 40 % through process integration in 4 cells.

- Development, procurement and Quality proving of facilities like trimming, cutting, fettling, machining, finishing and material handling for 12 aluminium parts.

• Productivity improvement

- As a Part of Industrial engineering task force, redefined the Industrial standards of all process within the plant using MOST study during 2020

- Designed and Implemented 4 fully automatic robotic cells for die casting extraction & trimming, increasing machine output by 14% in 2017-19

- Increased robot utilization in 3 cells from 47%to 92% by work reallocation from operator to robot during 2017- 19

- Automated extraction of by-products from machines in 2 cells resulting in increase of Overall Line Efficiency (OLE) from 63% to 70% in 2017-18 .

- Achieved breakthrough improvements to De-bottle-neck fettling processes using Industrial Engineering techniques like cycle time study, line balancing, value stream mapping, VA & NVA analysis resulting in improved Quantity/Man/Shift (QMS) - 150% for Pressure die casting lines

- Designed and implemented First-In First-Out(FIFO) layout for Shot blasting-surface finishing process

- Designed material handling facilities in 4 cells using the concept of Karakuri Kaizens

• Capacity Improvement

- Designed and modified 3 single-cavity LPDC machines to multi-cavity, and increased production capacity by 900 Nos/day in 2019

- Implemented SMED in HPDC machines and Reduced setup changeover time by 40 % opting to increase Machine OEE during 2019-20
