Responsibilities as a Safety Officer

Assist in the formulation and review of risk assessments.

Conduct frequent site inspections and give reports to the concerned personnel on all adverse remarks to implement control measures.

Conduct weekly/monthly EHS meeting and participate in the client’s EHS meeting.

Conduct/assist the investigation team during incident investigations and advise management on learning points, corrective and preventive actions.

Interact with company’s personnel on EHS matters.

Conduct periodic inspection of tools, equipment and firefighting equipment, etc.

Monitor the action points at work site and render necessary guidance to engineers/supervisors/workers during the site inspection.

Plan and conduct EHS induction training for all new project personnel and others in EHS training programs as needed.

Conduct /check toolbox training by foreman/supervisors.

Advice the line management personnel in displaying the relevant cautionary instruction, signs and symbols in prominent places.

Ensure that all the workforce, tools and materials, plant and equipment are complying with EHS site rules and regulation.

Ensure that all the necessary precautions are in place to save the environment and keep it neat from waste. All checklist form to be provided and followed.
