Stanford University Division of Endocrinology, Gerontology, and Metabolism Conducting research on the effects of oxidative stress on reproductive hormone production in mammalian cell culture and accelerated-aging mouse models.
● Expertise in mammalian cell culture including CHO, DNA extraction, cryopreservation, metabolite analysis, tissue collection with aseptic techniques, and ELISA.
● Proficiency with preclinical mouse models, husbandry, genotyping, dosing & administration of pharmacological agents and anesthetics, aseptic blood collection, and euthanasia.
● Prepared the cholesterol tracer BODIPY-CE FL-C12, including delipidation, quantification, and conjugation of HDL with BODIPY.
● Extensive statistical analysis experience including Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism, and SoftMax Pro.
● Renewed Animal Components of Research Protocols (ACORPs) for presentation to the IACUC; answering all committee questions regarding SOPs and justifications of experimental design.
