Senior HSE Engineer (Full-Time):

I was approved by the Kuwait Ministry of Public Works to replace a GULF CONSULT Safety Engineer, on leave, from July 5th to July 19th, 2016, from June 22nd to July 17th, 2017 and currently appointed (from August 24th, 2017 to end of project Sept. 30th, 2017). HSE supervision of the main contractors' and the sub-contractor's activities in the workplace. Project: Construction of the Ministry of Education Headquarters 12 story building.

I was hired back by the same Co. on Dec. 16th, 2017 to present time at the New Kuwait Airport Terminal 2 project.

Project HSE Manager (Full time):

The company acts as PMC for the construction of 2 Small boat Harbors by the contractor STFA for the Client (KOC) Kuwait Oil Company.

KOC approved me as HSE Manager for project supervision.

I Performed HSE monitoring, HSE audit, and consultancy on HSE issues guiding to the sound and safe progress of the project.

Safety is vital in construction projects, I managed 6 Safety Officers and a qualified HSE Engineer. Incidents were kept at their minimum rate of occurrence, as of continuous HSE awareness training sessions were given to workers and new joiners.

I Supervised and coordinated training programs for staff, which increased proficiency in safe practices and promoted HSE consciousness. Also, I assisted the project team in investigating all incidents and near misses ensuring corrective actions are taken as it relates to the incidents and "lessons learned" are communicated throughout Safety Alerts.

I Managed 26 Safety Safety Officers (Inspectors) and 4 HSE Engineers for a total of 4000 employees.

I Replaced the head HSSE Manager when on leave, handling 300 (HSE and Security) Staff).

I was responsible for HSSE matters working closely with all project managers and engineers.

Prescribing safety procedures in order to prevent incidents, near misses and security-related matters at new or ongoing projects.

Leading an HSE team who carry out emergency shutdowns and restarting Hassi R’mel gas production units for periodical revision and maintenance.

I was designated as Assistant Director to conduct internal HSE audits/HAZOP/HAZID/JSA of facilities in the Hassi R’mel gas field.

Developed the emergency response plan of Hassi R’mel infrastructures included Tilrhemt Airport as required by

Review Risk Assessment through all onshore facilities during their construction as well as on production (Module units, gas compression stations, and well rigs).

Zero incident with Bechtel Inc. Safety staff at the GME project on the departure terminal PK 0 in Hassi R'mel for the ‘In-Salah Gas’ underground pipe project.

Supervision of the contractor's activities to ensure the proper implementation of safe working practices.

Participation in HSSE meetings, workshops, and seminars in Algeria and abroad.

With JGC, we took part in the construction of gas processing plants, Gas Boosting Stations, LPG/NGL Recovery Revamping I & II.

Control of a prevention program which dropped the number of workplace accidents up to 50 % from 1984 to 2005 due to an effective nonstop Safety awareness plan intended for both first-line managers and employees.

The supervision of a positive defensive driving program for a safer road behavior which reduced significantly traffic incidents among employees.
