Description:

Senior Broker Oversight (SBO) is an application that provides oversight for agents selling senior

products (Medicare Advantage and Part D) for fourteen states Anthem sells products in (CA, CO, CT, GA,

IN, KY, ME, MO, NV, NY, NH, OH, VA, WI). In order to adhere to Anthem regulations and CMS compliance,

oversight must be carried out on licensing, certification, appointments, rapid disenrollment, complaints,

and sales monitoring. In addition, SBO monitors sales events, which are organized meetings between

agents and potential customers.

SBO obtains and tracks various information on agents such as broker licensing status, appointment

information, certification status, training status using the data from three separate sources: Web Course

Works (WCW), Siebel, and ASCS (Anthem Sales Compensation System). SBO tracks agents’ qualifications

to identify if they are “ready to sell” Medicare Advantage and Part D products in their respective states.

When agents are ready to sell, SBO sends information to a downstream interface called Custom Point. The

Custom Point system creates agent profiles for agents with ready to sell status and allows agents to

access marketing material on licensed products
