WORK EXPERIENCE:

Work with audit executives, management and audit committees at various companies, public and private, and assist them with their Internal Audit services.

• Member of fully outsourced Internal Audit teams for a technology company and a surgical orthopedic sales company and worked alongside the Internal Audit team of a major airline; all engagements involved Direct Assistance and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance testing.

§ Support the company’s External Audit team with testing which includes forfeiture rate calculation review, stock compensation review, EPS Calculation review, and cash flow worksheet review.

§ Test SOX controls in various processes for the interim cycle including revenue recognition, cash and treasury, bill and collect, and financial statement close.

§ Work closely with the revenue and accounting teams throughout Direct Assistance and SOX testing.

§ Assist with scoping assessment to identify processes and locations in scope for SOX Compliance.

§ Conduct and document walkthroughs of processes for Sarbanes-Oxley testing to understand the process and subsequently identify risks and corresponding mitigating key controls.

§ Update Risk Control Matrix and flowcharts after walkthroughs.

§ Assist with creating and updating Governance portal to aid in the testing process which includes entering controls, testing risks, and linking and updating them accordingly.

• Worked alongside the Global Internal Audit group of a major bank on the Issue Validation Audit team.

§ Validated that issues across different bank units were remediated and presented findings to the global head of the Internal Audit group for closure.
